Senior Project Manager - Energy Services

Red Clay Consulting is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager (PM) for our growing Oracle Utilities (Lodestar) Energy Services practice.  The PM will manage the Lodestar team in designing, implementing, and testing the necessary configuration changes to the Oracle Utilities (Lodestar) products to support customer requirements.  PM will also have responsibility for managing the RFP process by analyzing proposal specifications, developing customized solutions, and preparing a comprehensive proposal that includes estimations, pricing, and cost proposal documentation.  The position requires strong relationship building and project management skills to deliver projects and expand accounts. This position is based in our Atlanta, Georgia office.  Relocation assistance is available.

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage Lodestar projects with varied levels of complexity and length
  • Communicate with clients regarding project status, budget, technical and sensitive scope-related issues
  • Develop and document project plans, detailed implementation requirements, system designs and other project deliverables in the form of client deliverables
  • Provide leadership in the design and configuration concepts of the Lodestar system as well as integration with other systems
  • Manage Red Clay Lodestar team on project planning, resource allocation, and technical issues
  • Own RFP process which includes writing proposal responses, SOW documentation, estimations and other proposal related documents
  • Be able to travel on-site to work with our clients face to face and spend Monday through Thursday on the road; location of clients varies, but is generally within the United States and Canada.  International projects may be available in the future.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years project management experience working with packaged software applications in the energy industry
  • Experience managing at least 3 software implementations with a minimum of 5-7 people assigned to each project
  • Energy Services industry experience REQUIRED; Meter Data Management highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience managing the RFP process with strong emphasis on creating estimations
  • Flexible communication and interpersonal skills to engage with sales, marketing, service and technology personnel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent skills in written communication and documentation
  • Experience utilizing the complete Software Development Lifecycle
  • Ability to define, document and review project requirements and use cases
  • Ability to write QA documents (test plans, procedures, test reports)
  • Ability to thoroughly test code
  • Possess solid logic, analytical skills and technical skills (e.g. Windows, SQL Server or Oracle, Crystal Reports, IIS, XML)
  • Experience with JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET, and PL/SQL is a plus
  • Ability to work as part of a team, maintain a good work ethic, be a self-starter
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Science, or Mathematics
  • Ability to travel 80-100% of the time (generally Monday through Thursday on client site)

Consultant

Red Clay Consulting is currently hiring technology consultants for our growing CRM and Energy Services practice areas.  These consultants will assist the team in designing, implementing, and testing the necessary configuration/customization changes to a number of packaged products (Oracle Utilities (Lodestar)), Pivotal, Microsoft Dynamcis CRM) to support customer requirements.  We are seeking qualified entry-level applicants.

Qualified applicants will work as part of a small to medium sized team throughout the entire software development life cycle.  This will include facilitating requirements discussions with business subject matter experts, documentation requirements, designing a solution based on the designated software applications, configuring software using a application-specific configuration tools, testing software modifications, rolling out production environments, training clients, and providing production support.


Consultants may travel on-site to work with our clients face-to-face or work out of our Atlanta-based office.  Traveling consultants generally spend Monday through Thursday on the road.  The location of the clients varies, but is generally within the United States and Canada.  International projects may be available in the future.  Projects are usually time sensitive and business critical., therefore a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and commitment to quality of work is required.

Requirements include the following:

  • Ability to travel 80-100% of the time (generally Monday through Thursday on client site), if required
  • Provide technical and functional solutions
  • Follow strict coding guidelines and adhere to corporate policies
  • Ability to define, document and review project requirements and use cases
  • Create and comprehend requirements and working code
  • Ability to write QA documents (test plans, procedures, test reports)
  • Ability to thoroughly test code
  • Process solid logic, analytical skills and technical skills (e.g. Windows, SQL Server or Oracle, Crystal Reports, IIS, XML)
  • Knowledge of the complete SDLC a must and experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills are a must (oral and written)
  • Ability to work as part of a team, maintain a good work ethic, be a self-starter
  • Ability to learn new technology, training on software packages will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Experience with HTML, XML, XSL, XSLT and PL/SQL is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Javascript, ASP.NET, ASP, C#.NET, VB6, and VB.NET is a plus

CRM Developer

Red Clay Consulting is currently hiring a developer for our growing CRM practice area.  This position is a key member of the project team charged with developing and implementing packaged CRM solutions.  Applicants must have 2-5 years development experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM software.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing business problems as well as recommending, designing and developing CRM solutions for our clients
  • Provide technical expertise to help outline detailed technical design & requirements
  • Engage with Red Clay CRM team on project planning, resource allocation, and technical issues

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of development experience with at least 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
  • Proficient in ASP.Net, C#, and .Net 3.5 framework
  • Experience with SQL Server and SharePoint required
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2008 preferred
  • Good communications skills, collaborative work style, able to work effectively in a team environment; will interact with teams including internal customers, peers, and management
  • Bachelor's degree required; Technology, Engineering, or Systems preferred
